Dear Second Grade Families,
Welcome back! I hope you find yourselves excited to begin the new school year. I am so delighted to teach your child! This year will be full of lots of fun learning adventures! I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child. I believe having a good parent teacher relationship is necessary for your child to continue to do well.
I would like to introduce myself. My name is Lindsey Sanders. I was born and raised in Tooele, Utah. My family moved to Henderson, Nevada when I was in 7th grade. I have two brothers and one sister. I have a great love for learning and have always wanted to be an elementary school teacher. In 2006, I graduated with my Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary Education. This is my 10th year teaching in the Clark County School District. I previously taught second grade at Hayes Elementary School. This will be my first year at Batterman Elementary School. I am looking forward to meeting and working with new students, parents, and teachers. Currently, I am working on my Master's degree in Instructional Technology.
I am married and have a wonderful and supportive husband, Gary. We have two beautiful daughters Alyssa and Kendaee. Alyssa will be in Second grade this year. Kenadee will be attending preschool. Our family loves to travel, swim, ride bikes, watch movies, and play board games together.
I firmly believe communication is the most important tool in a successful parent-teacher relationship. If you have a question or a concern, please contact me as soon as possible.
